Generating Revenue

Recently, I’ve decided to find ways to make money off my web sites. I’m not trying to make large sums of money. At least not yet. My main objective is to generate a large enough income from my two blogs that will pay for the hosting of the sites. Admittedly, I have a way to go.

Currently, both sites feature Google’s Adsense advertisments, found on the right column of this site (at the time of this writing). Unfortunately, neither site generates enough traffic to qualify for other advertising programs. However, due to the recent increase in traffic to my other blog, these programs may become an option next year. Until then, I’ll focus on Adsense.

This is the first month I’ve managed to make any noticable amounts of money, but the revenue fails to meet the monthly hosting cost. I believe the limiting factor remains my rather low traffic numbers, but with the recent increase, I hope to see some improvement. Overall, my goal is to increase earnings by 35 - 50% a month. With this goal, hosting costs will take care of themselves by time my hosting account is up for renewal. Based on all the research I’ve done, these numbers are more than reasonable.

I’ll post updates to traffic and revenue at the end of every month.
